It all began with a crude cabin on the river, and now that once tiny spot, known as Dealey Plaza, is recognized worldwide as the heart of Dallas. Originally a wild frontier, it was tamed by men such as R. C. Buckner, a bible totin', pistol packin' frontier preacher man who left his denomination in order to build log cabin homes for orphans whose fathers were killed during Civil War battle. Today, that once tiny village is a thriving major metropolis.
